Salary:

$45,000 - $62,500

Benefits:

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Employer covers 70% of premium costs

401(k) Retirement Plan: Employer matches up to 5%

Paid Time Off (PTO): 8 days per year; unused days paid out at $150/day

Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 annually

GVSU Scholarship: Covers 50%–80% of tuition, based on years of experience in GVSU-authorized charter schools

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred)
Valid Michigan Standard or Professional Teaching Certificate with an appropriate Elementary Education endorsement, such as:
- ZG – Elementary All Subjects (K–5 All Subjects; K–8 Self-Contained Classroom)
- ZA – Early Childhood Education (if applicable)
- ZL – Language Arts (K–5)
- NS – Science (K–5)
- MA – Mathematics (K–5)
- BX – English Language Arts (K–5)
Demonstrated ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for providing high-quality, equitable education to all learners
