Salary:

$48,000 - $65,500

Benefits:

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Employer covers 70% of premium costs

401(k) Retirement Plan: Employer matches up to 5%

Paid Time Off (PTO): 8 days per year; unused days paid out at $150/day

Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 annually

GVSU Scholarship: Covers 50%–80% of tuition, based on years of experience in GVSU-authorized charter schools

Position requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred)
Valid Michigan Standard or Professional Teaching Certificate with a Secondary ELA endorsement, such as:

BA – English (Grades 6–12)
BX – Language Arts (Grades 6–8 or 6–12)
Demonstrated ability to implement engaging, standards-aligned instruction
Proven ability to manage a middle school classroom effectively
Strong relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally responsive education to all students
